Horse Riding in Paphos.
What could be more delightful than meandering through the dappled shade of a pine forest on horseback at the height of a Cypriot summer's day? Just you, your horse, a gentle breeze and some of the most spectacular scenery anywhere in the Mediterranean - it sure is an experience to savour!
Horse riding is very popular in Cyprus. Thousands of people from around the world visit the island each year to relax in the sumptuous surroundings of the Cypriot countryside. Many find that on horseback a more intimate encounter with nature can be enjoyed. You can see Cyprus from a completely new and compelling perspective, the fantastic array of flora, fauna and wildlife making it an adventure to remember.
Riding stables are found all over the island. Organised treks from as little as an hour to as long as a full day's riding are offered for both adults and children of all ages. Some of the longer treks incorporate breaks for refreshments and a lunch out in the heart of the Cypriot wilderness. Many stables provide riding lessons too for individuals and groups. For the more experienced rider, horses can be hired from stables and taken out on trekking routes of their own choosing.
